Frequently Asked Questions

Can I get a Section 18A tax certificate?
Yes. The Port Alfred Soup Kitchen is a registered NPO/PBO. We can issue Section 18A tax-deductible certificates for South African donations. Please email your proof of payment along with your contact and tax details to admin@pask.co.za.
What payment references should I use?
If you are sponsoring a specific initiative, please use a descriptive reference such as GENERAL, MONTHLY, GARDEN, GAS, or FEED-A-FAMILY. This helps us direct funds exactly where you intend.
How are once-off donations allocated?
Once-off donations go directly to the designated need (e.g. food ingredients, cooking gas, shoes, or school stationery). If you do not specify a reference, it is allocated to our general feeding fund.
How do I set up a monthly debit order?
You can set up a recurring monthly transfer (EFT) using our standard banking details, or scan one of the monthly QR codes in this page using your banking app to establish steady support.
Can I donate physical goods or supplies?
Yes, absolutely! We gratefully accept food ingredients, garden seeds/tools, clothing, blankets, school stationery, and toiletries. Please contact the office or email us to arrange a drop-off.
